The Adler Aphasia Center of Maywood recently held its annual scholarship fundraiser, Gospel Lunch by the Lake, at the Franklin Lakes home of its founders, Elaine and Mike Adler. The organization serves people with aphasia, a language disorder brought on by stroke or other brain injury, and raises awareness about these two conditions, which together affect almost three million people annually.
