A group of 20 German exchange students and two teachers from Karlsruhe, Germany, along with their Paramus host families gathered for a farewell potluck dinner on Oct. 29 in the Paramus High School cafeteria. The atmosphere was lively as parents, students, siblings and teachers shared their experiences while tasting a variety of favorite dishes and desserts. Louis Natalo, supervisor, World Languages Department, German language teachers Kim Lauzon and Claudia Malik and Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera were among the guests. The Prem1ers chorus, led by vocal teacher Stephanie Rawlings performed “auf Wiedersehen,” which means goodbye in German. Each exchange student received a Paramus Spartans T-shirt and a photo with their host sibling as a gift.
