The Hackensack Theatre Company is hosting two weekends of benefit performances. The first, a cabaret featuring the music of local actress and recent Hackensack High School graduate Kylie Mowry, will take place on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11. Mowry, who starred in Montclair State University’s spring production of The Wild Party and was recently cast in the school’s upcoming City of Angels, will bring her unique musical talents to a family-friendly hour-long concert.
The following weekend, Garfield resident Michael Sangregorio will host an improvisational comedy show on Jan. 17 and Jan. 18. Sangregorio is a stage and voice-over actor who, along with his comedy troupe, will entertain a crowd aged 13 and older.
Proceeds from these performances will benefit the theater company and the Hackensack High School Theatre Arts Department. All performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Hackensack Cultural Arts Center, 39 Broadway, Hackensack. For more information, visit www.hackensacktheatrecompany.com.
