Prescription Pill Cache Found

On Dec. 6, Rochelle Park Police Officers Todd Starling and Franklin Laboy were assigned to a DWI check point. At approximately 10 p.m., the officers spotted a black BMW travelling too closely to the vehicle in front of it on Essex Street. After pulling over the vehicle and questioning the driver, Andrew Pitchon, 29, of Saddle Brook, the officers noticed he was trying to conceal objects within the cup holder.

Pitchon allowed the officers to search his vehicle, and they found nine Xanax “bars,” 149 Oxycodone tablets and 57 Vyvanse (ADHD amphetamine) capsules. The prescription drugs were stored in bottles not issued to Pitchon, as well as loosely strewn throughout the vehicle. Pitchon was arrested and charged with several counts of drug possession and possession of prescription drugs without original containers, possession of drug paraphernalia and several motor vehicle summonses, officials said.
