On April 18, Bergen Community College’s S.P.A.R.K. A Change (Students Practicing Acts of Random Kindness) Club and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention sponsored a fundraising walk to raise bullying and suicide awareness. More than 150 students and members of the community participated in the event and over $6,000 was collected in donations.

The SPARK a Change student group, led by faculty adviser Jamie Keller (center), was established three years ago to encourage anti-bullying advocacy, challenge stereotypes and provide a support system for young adults.
