Valley Health System and Westfield Garden State Plaza Provide a Healthy Take on Old Favorites

Vally and Westfield GSPValley Health System, Sur La Table, Tommy Hilfiger and Westfield Garden State Plaza recently celebrated the winners of the “Recipe Makeover & A New Look For the Cook” sweepstakes.  The sweepstakes invited participants to submit the name of a favorite dish for a chance to win a healthy recipe makeover and a “new look” for the cook.

The two winning recipes were made over to healthier versions by John Graziano, Executive Chef of Valley Dining.  On Saturday, May 17 in the Lord & Taylor Court the two winners cooked their healthier dishes in front of a live audience with the assistance of Food Network celebrity chef Michael V. Proietti. Prior to the cooking demonstration, each winner was provided with a styling session and outfit by the Tommy Hilfiger store and a makeover by Sephora.

The two winning recipes can be found at www.ValleyHealth.com/RecipeMakeover.

The sweepstakes was the first event offered through a year-long partnership between Valley Health System and Westfield Garden State Plaza designed to promote community health and wellness through engaging events and thought-provoking messaging. A second event will be held in October.

Shown at Saturday’s event are (from left to right): Megan Fraser, Vice President of Communications & Marketing, The Valley Hospital; Sweepstake winner Allison Indoe, of Washintgton Township; Chef Michael V. Proietti; Sweepstake winner Nancy Basenese of Wayne; and Bryan Gaus, Senior General Manager, Westfield Garden State Plaza.
