The YMCA of Greater Bergen County and Lucianna & Lucianna are working together to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Frank Lucianna and Diane Lucianna of Lucianna & Lucianna, P.A. presented the YMCA of Greater Bergen County with a check for $2,000.
Every year Lucianna & Lucianna is also a proud YMCA Sports Award Banquet supporter. The event helps to fund Y scholarships and subsidize much needed community programs. Frank is a former honoree having received the Walter Goepel Amateur Athlete Award in 2003. One program that is benefiting from Lucianna & Lucianna’s support is the Free Childcare Swim Lesson Program. The Y’s childcare consists of children ages 2 to 5 years with 50% of the working parents receiving some type of financial assistance. “Children in this group normally would not have access to formal swim lessons and are statistically involved in more water accidents. The Y saw a need and now has a goal of taking these non-swimmers and turning them into swimmers.” said Nelson Louis, YMCA President and CEO.
For over 100 years, the YMCA of Greater Bergen County, located in an historic building in Hackensack, has been strengthening the foundations of the community, committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y provides high-quality, affordable programs for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The Y offers something for nearly everyone, including child care, summer camps, swimming, adult wellness center, senior programs, sports and arts. The YMCA of Greater Bergen County is a non-profit organization that welcomes people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages and incomes.
