Y Early Learning programs strengthen families and boost youth development by offering infants, toddlers, young children, and their families early learning readiness experiences and comprehensive child development programs. Early Learning programming at the Y addresses the holistic development of young children by supporting brain development, early literacy, healthy habits development, and strong parenting skills. Early Learning programming at the Y lays a foundation for future and ongoing achievement and success.

The Y’s unique facility allows children to experience swim lessons and gym play as well as an outdoor playground. Children play in our gym or playground daily. “Swim lessons are provided weekly for 3-to-5 year olds because it is our goal that all of our children know how to swim before they start kindergarten,” said Odette Valdez, Y Early Childhood Education Director.

The YMCA Child Care Center’s hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays and parents are encouraged to join the YMCA membership and get into shape by using the wellness center or pool.
